Online and Multiplayer is an available mode on Stranger of Paradise. Online and Multiplayer modes typically allow players to matchmaker or party up with friends in a team to be able to to play together. Below is the information on how to use multiplayer mode, and what kind of multiplayer gameplay is available.

How to unlock Multiplayer in Stranger of Paradise
The first level must be completed before players can "search for a room."Completeing this level in co-op mode will not progress the main game.
Matchmaking
All available rooms will me shown when searching for a room, so players may select which room to join.
Private Party
Players who create a room will also have the option to set a password so that only friends with the password can join.
Starting a Mission
Once all players in a room are ready the selected mission will begin. After the mission is finished, all players will be returned to the multiplayer room.
Preset Phrases
During a multiplayer game, you can use preset phrases to communicate with other players. The quick chat menu can be accessed from the multiplayer room screen by pressing L2, or during a mission by pressing up on the d-pad.
Starting Multiplayer
Players can either create a room or search for a room. When creating a party, only one player will need to create a room for other teammates to join. The player who creates a multiplayer room becomes the host, and can wait for other players to join. Players can also specific search parameters and search for multiplayer rooms, then can join one as a guest. Note that multiplayer rooms can be created even while progressing in a mission on your own.
Joining a Room
Once a player has created a room, others can join by searching for a room. The room creator will have a room ID available to him once the room is created. Input the ID to continue. This Code is case sensitive.

How does the story work in Multiplayer mode?
The host, or the creator of the room will play the co-op game as Jack. Other teammates will either be Ash or Jed.
Does each character have their own set of stats or skills in co-op?
No, each character is the same. Each character will have the same stats and abilities. The characters are only used to differentiate the players.
Can you use your obtained equipment in Co-op?
Yes, all materials, skills and advancements made in co-op is carried over back to single player.
How many players are there in a party?
There are 3 players per party.
What can you play in Multiplayer?
Player can do main and side missions together in co-op.
How is loot divided in co-op?
This is specific to each player. Looting a chest will only affect the one player's game. This action does not affect other players' loot and they will need to open the chest themselves. This gives everyone the opportunity to loot the same area and each obtain loot.
