Affinities are passives that will always remain active when certain thresholds are met. All pieces of equipment possesses one or two jobs attached to them, along with a percentage amount. The affinity percentages are summed linearly across all pieces of equipment, including weapons.

Please note:

  • 600% affinities are available after reaching Floor 13 of the Rift. Requires the DLC Wanderer of the Rift.
  • Summons affinities are available after unlocking the Lufenia difficulty, which requires completing Floor 21 of the Rift. Requires the DLC Different Future.
  • 800% affinities are available after completing the story mission Different Future. Requires the DLC Different Future.

Summons' Blessings [Back to top]

Summons' Blessings have their own set of stat bonuses and scaling based on affinity percentages, all of which differ on a per job basis. Please see the eidolons page for more information.

Summons Effects

Alexander

On a successful parry, inflicts a debuff that decreases the enemy's strength, agility, stamina, intellect, spirit, and luck.

Parry needs to be near enemy for the enemy to be debuffed and is instantly applied (as opposed to being accumulated).

Stat reduction is 20. Summoner's 600% affinity can double the debuff to 40. Reapplying Alexander's debuff extends the current debuff and does not overwrite the existing debuff.

Example scenario: You have summoner's 600% affinity plus Alexander, but your teammate has regular Alexander. If they apply Alexander's debuff first, the debuff will be -20 stats. When you apply your Alexander debuff after, it will extend the duration of the previous -20 stat version of the debuff instead of overwriting it with the -40 stat version.

Bahamut

A successful soul shield increases strength, agility, stamina, intellect, spirit, and luck by 1 each stack. Can build up to 20 stacks.

Stats do not appear on the UI. Does not appear to benefit the player when on a job without Bahamut's Blessing or at least one stat-boosting job affinity (e.g. breaker's 600% affinity, black mage's 600% affinity), but the effect will return upon switching to the Bahamut blessed job.

Bug/Feature: Adding or removing a piece of Bahamut gear will prevent the player from gaining additional stacks of this blessing until touching the cubes, even if the player is still wearing Bahamut on other pieces.

Carbuncle

All abilities that can be used in other slots can now be set in the After Parry combo slot as well. Additionally, a successful parry restores MP.

Fenrir

After avoiding an enemy attack with evade invincibility, your next ability will cost reduced MP and is guaranteed to be a critical hit.

Cannot trigger this effect with a regular dodge while the Teleport command is active. I-frame moves can still trigger this effect.

Ifrit

When activating a combo ability from a normal attack, press the [Use Ability] at just the right moment to increase the ability's power by 30%.

This should appear as a red flash when landing a normal attack or making an attack in senshin stance.

This effect also increases any healing, lancet, Critical: HP, or Critical: MP recovery effects received from the attack or combo ability effect.

Leviathan

Increases MP Recovery and Max MP gained on a successful soul shield or soul burst.

Odin

Physical damage applies buildup of a debuff which causes vulnerability to all attacks by 30%. Stacks with other effects that bypass enemy resistances or lower enemy resistances (e.g. mighty strikes, inky envy, rend armor, etc.)

In the Rift, this accumulation will require more spirit when ascending floors, as the base resistances of debuffs rises when delving deeper into the Rift. Enemies also gain resistance to Odin's debuff effect after being afflicted.

Phoenix

No longer consume a potion to revive an ally. In addition, inflicting enough damage will grant Auto-Raise, automatically reviving the player after being knocked out.

The effect remains on the original job with Phoenix when switching to a second job that doesn't have the Phoenix blessing.

Ramuh

Normal attacks will recover additional MP based on your max MP. In addition, combo abilities cause build-up of the paralysis debuff.

In the Rift, this accumulation will require more spirit when ascending floors, as the base resistances of debuffs rises when delving deeper into the Rift. Enemies also gain paralysis resistance after being afflicted.

Shiva

Critical damage causes buildup of the slow debuff.

In the Rift, this accumulation will require more spirit when ascending floors, as the base resistances of debuffs rises when delving deeper into the Rift. Enemies also gain slow resistance after being afflicted.

Sylph

Enables you to evade more quickly during an attack. Evading refills your break gauge.

Note: This will allow you to cancel out of actions that normally do not let you cancel them. This may also result in losing MP if you cancel before the damage or effect animation plays.

Titan

Grants an effect that nullifies a certain amount of damage based on the amount of time an enemy is targeting you.

This effect is removed when switching jobs, even if the other job has Titan equipped.

Notes: As of February 14, this effect is not fully removed when switching jobs. Additional testing required.
